Kent Falls – Kent, CT

In March of 2021 the kiddo and I went to Kent Falls. I was going to take him last year but unfortunately the park became quite popular last year and was closed much of last year. So we made it this year. L loves waterfalls and so once we got to the base of the waterfalls he was on a made dash to get up there. I’d say in under 15 minutes he climbs to the top top of the falls. I thought it was pretty incredible. He didn’t need any help. He scampered right up! I wish he had slowed down and taken some time to take in the sights but he just wanted to get right up there. Afterwards you can climb back down the way you came or head through the woods on your way back down.

What’s nice about Kent Falls is that there are various viewing platforms from different heights. At the bottom there’s a large grassy park with picnic tables and benches and some charcoal grills. The picnic tables and benches are all spread out and have been since before COVID, but it certainly makes it nice in this COVID world.
